How early to arrive at Newcastle airport?

Arriving at the airport will depend on a number of factors including which Newcastle airport parking option you choose, Meet & Greet or Park & Ride, as well as what type of flight you’re on, domestic or international. You can read more about each option below to help you plan your next journey.

Park and Ride

When you book Park and Ride, you will drive directly to the parking lot and park your car. The attendants at the lot provide free shuttle bus transfers both to and from Newcastle Airport so you can relax and have a worry free experience. Most of our providers on Parkos are located close to the airport, within 20 minutes, making transfers quick. When searching and comparing parking operators, check out their pages to find more information on their shuttle service, facilities, and location.

Meet and Greet

The Meet and Greet parking options offer more comfort and convenience for travelers. With this type of parking, you will drive directly to the airport terminal. Once there, a parking employee will meet you and park your car at their lot while you check-in.

International Flights

Newcastle airport suggests that travelers flying internationally arrive for check-in approximately 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. With international flights, security and the check-in process may take longer, especially if you have checked bags. We suggest planning ahead to ensure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare.
